Abstract:
In this paper, nonlinear finite element analysis of the concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) frame with dampers is performed using the ABAQUS software, and the validity and feasibility of the numerical models have been verified by the comparison between experimental results and calculation results. The mechanical performances of the CFST frame with BRB and CFST frame have been comparatively analyzed according to the results of numerical analysis, and the force analysis of whole process for CFST frame with dampers has been done. Mechanical properties of the CFST frame with dampers have been studied in the aspects, such as stress state of external steel tube, core concrete and energy dissipation devices. The result shows that: the mechanical properties of the CFST frame have been enhanced by setting the BRB in the structure, whilst the development process of plastic hinge has been delayed, and the seismic performance of the CFST frame has been improved effectively.
