Abstract:

Aiming at the seriousness and harmfulness of nitrogen pollution, in order to protect water resources and human health, this paper outlines nitrogen transport and transformation process in the groundwater. Based on the analysis of the present research situation about nitrogen transport and transformation at home and abroad, the authors think that 0-level or first-order kinetics hasn't describe nitrogen transformation under the action of nitrogen nitrification and denitrification, and must consider the role of microorganisms in the nitrogen transport and transformation process, which has been the development trend of nitrogen transport and transformation at the home and abroad. So, by the solute transform theory and microbe dynamics theory, based on the present research situation at home and abroad, this paper theoretically gives multi-component solute transport and transformation model, which can simultaneously simulate the characterization of nitrogen, oxygen, organic carbon and microbial concentration, all of these can provide theoretic basis for the prevention and control of groundwater in the nitrogen pollution. © 2011 IEEE.
