Abstract:

The infrared remote control devices are used to operate in the most of modern household applications, such as television, DVDs, the conditions. With the development of the society and smart home, there are more and more home appliances and more infrared remote control devices used to match them. But the infrared remote control device can't be used to manipulate the different kinds of home appliances; therefore it isn't compatible with the others and leads to the waste of resources. So this paper proposed an application with the single-chip microcomputer and USB interface, gives out the design of infrared remote control system, which can code and decode all of the infrared remote control protocol, and integrate with the transmission and receiver. Then it's able to replace the infrared remote control before to save the resources. © 2010 IEEE.
