Abstract:

This paper uses the method of video cameras collection to gather the vehicle, the bicycle and the pedestrian flow's image material based on the investigation of Beijing's typical signalized intersection. With the aid of the simi software to describe the time and space distribution chart of mixed traffic flow, the statistical method is used to analyze variety of the discharged rate of flow. Integrating the studied intersection's signal timing plan, with the form of the space and time distribution chart, this paper takes the traffic flow of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians as the independent object of study, describes the mixed traffic flow's space and time characteristic and regulation of the discharged rate of flow to thoroughly further the research of traffic flow's characteristics on signalized intersection. ©2009 IEEE.
