Abstract:

InVO4 (50 wt%) nanocrystals particles were confined in the pores of SBA-15 mesostructured silica by using the cetyltrimethylammonium bromide-templated hydrothermal strategy. The surface areas, light absorption properties and the thermal stabilities of the prepared photocatalyst could be enhanced by introducing the support of SBA-15. The resulting materials exhibited higher photocatalytic performance for H2 production in pure water under visible light irradiation compared with InVO4/CNTs or bulk-InVO4. And it is found that a mixed crystal phases (monoclinic and orthorhombic) of InVO4 obtained at the calcination temperature of 700°C maybe played important role in determining the reaction activity.
