Abstract:
A rapid, effective and environmentally friendly method to determine parathion in water by HPLC with ionic liquid-based solvent bar microextraction (SBME) was introduced. The influence of extraction parameters including extraction solvent, pH of donor phase, extraction time, extraction temperature and stirring speed was investigated. The parathion enrichment factor was 120 under optimum conditions. The linear range was 1-100 ng/mL with a squared regression coefficient of 0.9982 and the detection limit was 0.1 ng/mL (S/N=3). The recoveries of spiked samples range from 90.1% to 101.4% with a relative standard deviation lower than 5.0%. It is needless to filtrate or separate for aqueous samples compared with other extraction methods. © 2008 IEEE.
