Abstract:
Visitor parking space sharing mode in mixed residential and commercial land is proposed based on parking sharing theory. Both the mechanism of parking sharing policy and the effect of parking sharing policy on parking behavior are discussed. The preference survey is designed and carried out to obtain the attributes of drivers and parking spaces to analyze the influence of each factor on the choice behavior of parking spaces. Based on the rational behavior theory, the parking location choice model in mixed commercial and residential land is established based on multinomial logit model under parking sharing mechanism to forecast parking demands. The results show that factors such as the driver's age, the number of parking spaces, parking distance, seeking time, etc. have significant influences on the choice of parking spaces. The model and the visitor parking space sharing mode can provide data supports for the research on the parking behavior in the mixed residential and commercial land. © 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
