Abstract:

With respect to the test of pool boiling heat transfer of highly wetted liquid a set of effective test procedures was proposed and an experimental study conducted of R113 pool boiling heat transfer in strict accordance with the test procedures. The study focuses on the effect of surface aging and liquid subcooling on the pool boiling heat transfer curves and incipient boiling point. Three abnormal phenomena have been observed during the test. In conclusion, from the perspective of the boiling heat transfer mechanism of highly wetted liquid a relevant explanation was given concerning the above-cited phenomenon.
