Abstract:

3,9-Diazahexacyclo[6.4.0.02,7.04,11.0 5,10]dodecanes were synthesized by a head-to-tail [2+2] photocycloaddition of 1,4-dihydropyridines. Various factors such as solvents, the concentrations of 1,4-dihydropyridine, wavelength of UV and reaction time, were studied in details. An efficient method of synthesizing 3,9-diazatetraasteranes was found, and 12 compounds were obtained and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS and HRMS techniques.
