Abstract:

The cast-in-situ reinforced concrete grillage shear wall is a new type of structural system, which has the functions of formwork and heat-preservation at the same time. The grillage shear wall is built with heat preservation hollow blocks which are made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) concrete. For applying the wall to rural houses, a system of grillage shear wall with large grid size and low reinforcement ratio has been developed. Pseudo-static test of a specimen was carried out to study the seismic behavior of the grillage shear wall, such as failure mode, load-carrying capacity and deformation capacity. The test results indicate that: vertical and cross oblique cracks appear at the ends of horizontal limbs above the hole, while horizontal cracks occur at the vertical limbs, the concrete crushes at bottom of boundary limbs, the load-carrying capacity can meet the requirements for the one-story residential buildings with seismic fortification intensity 8.
