Abstract:
In order to investigate the seismic performance of the low-rise concrete shear wall with different percent of coarse recycled aggregate replacement,-a low-frequency quasi-static cyclic loading experimental study on four low-rise shear walls with shear-span ratio 1.0, including a usual concrete shear wall and three recycled aggregate concrete shear walls, was carried out. Based upon the experimental study, the load-carrying capacity, ductility, stiffness, hysteretic behavior, energy dissipation and failure phenomena of each shear wall were analyzed. Experiments above-mentioned indicate that compared to the low-rise usual concrete shear wall, the recycled aggregate concrete shear walls show poorer seismic performance, and the more the coarse recycled aggregate replacement, the poorer the seismic performance of the shear wall, and the seismic performance of the recycled aggregate concrete shear walls can be greatly improved by concealed bracing. At some conditions, the recycled aggregate concrete shear walls are able to satisfy the seismic design requirement of structures.
