Abstract:

This paper develops a new theoretical system of Experimental Traffic Engineering Method (ETEM) to provides the theoretical support for studying the complex giant system-transportation system. The necessity of research on ETEM theoretical system is proposed; the development course of ETEM is introduced; the concept of ETEM theoretical system is defined; the construction of ETEM theoretical system is also studied and analyzed. Based on above study, the theoretical framework of ETEM has been established initially. The establishment of theoretical system is designed to carry out classification research, to emphasize the focus of study, and to specify the interrelations of all theories.
