Abstract:
Based upon the experimental study on the seismic behavior of three 1/3 scale high shear walls, including a high shear wall with steel frame, a high shear wall with steel truss and a usual one, the bearing capacity, stiffness and its attenuation, ductility, hysteretic property and failure phenomena of different types of the shear walls with concealed bracing are discussed. The experimental results show that the seismic behavior of the high shear wall with steel frame and the high shear wall with steel truss are obviously improved compared with the usual one.
