Abstract:

When high-Cr white cast iron contains 18%-28% Cr and Cr/C value is 8-9, the microstructure is tempered martensite + little retained austenite (< 5%) + M7C3 carbide, and high impact toughness, high fracture toughness K1C, and high impact resistance and low spalling rate of grinding balls can be obtained.
