Abstract:

To solve the problems of complex structure and difficult construction et al of buckling restrained brace and attached energy dissipator brace, the authors divided re-centering function brace into self-centering additional energy dissipative brace, self-centering buckling-restrained brace according to the way of energy dissipation. The authors also provided a literature review and analyzed the deficiencies of the 2 kinds of braces above. The key problems of re-centering function brace, which need to be further investigated, were addressed. © 2016, Editorial Department of Journal of Beijing University of Technology.
