Abstract:

In order to determine the appropriate traffic grade and the reasonable layered structure for foam asphalt cold recycled mixture, the authors conducted experiment research for the road performance of foam asphalt cold recycled mixture. And it is showed that foam asphalt cold recycled mixture can be used in the base of all kinds of grade roads. According to the current standards used and typical cases in our country, the authors drafted reasonable pavement structure thickness combinations of different traffic grade asphalt pavements and used ANSYS to establish a model for simulating. The surface deflection and tensile stress of foundation base of different thickness combinations were calculated. Then, according to figure analysis, it is showed that the modulus of old pavement and thickness of each layer could have an influence on the performance of foam asphalt cold recycled pavement. And it is showed that modulus of old pavement is an important factor impacting the performance of complexly repaired asphalt pavement. By inversely calculating the number of accumulative standard axle loads and comparing with the traffic grade standards of our country, the reasonable pavement structure combination was proposed for foam asphalt cold recycled mixture used in complex road repair project.
