Abstract:

The vertical sections of Fe-10%Cr-B-xAl-C quinary system with different aluminum contents, the effect of aluminum content on the change trend of phase content in Fe-10%Cr-1.5%B-Al-0.3%C quinary system at 900℃ and the equilibrium solidification processes of Fe-10%Cr-1.5%B-2%Al-0.3%C alloy have been calculated by use of Thermo-Calc software. The Fe-10%Cr-1.5%B-2%Al-0.3%C, Fe-10%Cr-1.5%B-4%Al-0.3%C alloy were chosen to be studied by experiment. The phase transition temperatures were measured by DSC and the microstructure and the phase types were detected by SEM-EDS and XRD. The results indicate that calculated phase diagrams agree well with the experimental results and further prove the thermodynamics database of Thermo-Calc software to be reliable and it can be used to help design the alloy composition and heat treatment process. © 2015, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.
