Abstract：
Through the analysis of the macroscopic and microcosmic appearance, chemical composition, mechanical properties at normal temperature and metallographic structure in the failure part of the screw thread, the results show that over torsion and higher rotation speed caused by hydraulic pressure pincers were the main reasons for the screw thread failure.
