Abstract:

In order to investigate the bond-slip behavior between corroded steel bars and recycled concrete, 30 reinforced recycled aggregate concrete prism specimens were designed and tested under the pull-out test. Design parameters of specimens are concrete water-cement ratio, recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio, and anchorage lengths of steel bars, respectively. Based on the experimental results, the effects of the replacement ratio of coarse aggregate, the corrosion rate, the length of anchorage and the strength of concrete on the bond-slip behavior were analyzed. The results show that: the replacement ratio of recycled coarse aggregate, concrete strength, steel bar anchorage length and corrosion rate of steel are the key factors affecting the bond-slip behavior of specimens. Three bond-slip failure characteristics between rusted steel bars and recycled aggregate concrete can be seen from the test, which contain the steel bar breaking damage by the ultimate tension limits, the bond-slip damage because of the steel bar being pulled out, the concrete split fracture damage because of the steel bar being pulled out. The bond- slip curve of rusted steel bars and recycled aggregate concrete is similar to that of the ordinary steel-recycled aggregate concrete. But with the increase of the corrosion rate, the bond strength of the specimen decreases. The bond strength between the rusted steel bars and the recycled aggregate concrete decreases with the increase of the steel bar anchorage length, while the increase rate of the bond strength decreases with the increase of the concrete strength. © 2017 Science Press.
