Abstract:

The photochemical properties of 1-aryl-2,4,6-triphenyl-1,4-dihydropyrazines 1 were investigated in conventional solvents. The results demonstrated that 1 were unstable to form N-arylbenzamide 2 and N-arylbenzenecarboximidic acid 3 under irradiation with UV light. The photoreaction mechanism was proposed via a photooxygenation. The photoreaction products were determined by 1H and 13C NMR, high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
