Abstract:
This work investigated the degradation of phenolic wastewater via electrochemical oxidation combined wet oxidation. This process showed a high current efficiency for effective phenolic wastewater treatment. The influences of parameters such as current density, initial concentration of phenolic wastewater, reaction temperature and H2O2 dosage were investigated to increase our understanding of this process. Under the optimum condition current density 50 mA/cm(2), initial quality concentration of phenolic wastewater 100 mg/l, after 2 h degradation, the chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal of reached 54.25%. The COD removal reached 93.3% via wet oxidation.
