金代统治历史时间仅有一百多年,但在各个方面都取得了很高的成就.从黑龙江走出的少数民族——女真不仅打败了强大的辽朝,灭掉了软弱的北宋,定都中原,而且在工艺美术方面继承辽、北宋的艺术特点并加以发展,最终形成具有自己独特风格的工艺美术作品,元代诗人刘静修曾云:“万里河山有燕赵,一代风俗自辽金.”
