沃尔玛公司在2011年初,因＂价格欺诈＂事件受到社会各界广泛关注和讨论。2月23日《金融时报》报道：＂1月26日,国家发改委公开通报了有些地区的沃尔玛超市存在的价格欺诈行为,包括虚构原价、低价招徕顾客高价结算、不履行价格承诺、误导性价格标示等。＂
