Abstract:

Wenchuan Earthquake happened in the mountainous area with fragile geological environment. Both internal and external tectonic stress accelerate the change of geological environment in the disaster area. Various geologic process and hazards appear during the transfer. Protection measures of geological disaster were suggested while rebuilding in this paper by researching the reason and distribution characteristics of disaster such as surface rupture, landslide, collapse and debris flow, such as: (1) In face of the accelerating changes in areal geological environment, control strategies should be researched combined with capacity of ecological environment and social development. (2) In the next few years, geological disaster will be in a highly frequent, multiple and burst period because of repeated damage by earthquake and aftershock. At the same time, geological environment will also be shocked by external load. Geological disaster risks around the town which is in southwestern high intensity mountains should be comprehensively inspected and estimated. (3) The environment and risk of geological hazards should be paid much attention in reconstruction process. In addition, the composed measures which include investigation, monitoring, avoidance should be taken to prevent the geological disaster after the quake.
