Abstract:
Consequent-pole permanent magnet (CPPM) generator with trapezoidal back EMF is an ideal candidate for automotive application, and accurate calculation about DC-link voltage is very important for the design of CPPM generator. Howerve, the leakage inductance of CPPM generator can affect electrical time constant and current waveform, which will result in DC-link voltage error between the practical and the design values. In this paper, the DC-link voltage equation is deduced based on current equations including commutation process, and in which the influence of leakage inductance is considered. Experimental results verified the calculation method about DC-link voltage of CPPM generator.
