Abstract:
Considering both the near-fault and far-field seismic motions and based on a subway station structure of three stories and three spans at liquefiable ground, a series of shaking table experiments on the dynamic interaction between soil and underground structures is conducted. This paper mainly analyzes the dynamic damage behavior for subway station structure under near-fault and far-field motions on liquefiable foundation. It is found that the seismic dynamic characteristics have great influence on the acceleration response and there are various values of acceleration at different heights of side walls. On the other hand, the strain response of the interior column is the most remarkable. Moreover, the interior column in the bottom story exhibits a larger strain response than the top story and other intermediate ones.
