Abstract:

By using the transversally corrugated tube, heat transfer enhancement with molten salt was studied in the test bench of molten salt convective heat transfer in our laboratory. The total heat transfer coefficents of molten salt-oil were calculated by the measured data of flow rates and temperatures. Based on Wilson plot, the convective heat transfer coefficients of molten salt in different conditions were determined. The results showed that the average total heat transfer coefficients of molten salt-oil in the transversally corrugated tube are 1.7 times larger than that in smooth pipe. And the correlation for criterion numbers of convective heat trabnsfer of molten salt in transversally corrugated tube was Nu=0.022e(0.82)pr(1/3). Good agreement can be found between the excperimental data and the fitting equation with deviation of 6.2%.
