Abstract:
With mobile terminals and wireless network environment constantly being improved, people are using mobile instant messaging (IM) products more frequently. We provide a novel design based on Jabber and FCAPS model to meet the rapidly growing and changing needs. Jabber provides an open, secure, real-time communication technology. Network management has always been a key aspect of communication networks. It is time to add network and systems management into mobile IM. We use Linux C and C++, HTTP, J2ME technology to develop server and client software. It is demonstrated by experiment that the system can build stable and efficient mobile IM services with important management and essential search functions. Our system processes a message at an average of 4 milliseconds and the error rate is one ten thousandth.
