After research with the belt thickener and the belt filter press combined with the experience in operating sludge treatment plants an innovative combination of belt thickener and belt filter press is presented. The belt filter press with special extended gravity deck.. A highly hydrous sewage sludge can be dewatered, without the application of a separate belt thickener.
