Abstract:
In this study, the texture evolution of CuNi alloy fabricated by rolling and annealing processes with different von Mises strains was systematically investigated by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). All the samples with different strains exhibited a strong cube texture after annealing at high temperatures, but the texture evolution trace was apparently affected by the strains. The most significant effect of the strain was the recrystallization nucleation of the cube texture. The distinct nucleation causes a different growth rate of the cube texture and the random texture, which causes a large temperature difference of 550-700 degrees C between the samples with different strains. This investigation allows us to better understand the texture evolution in CuNi and other FCC alloys after the rolling and annealing processes. (c) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
