Abstract:

A new set technology of precision worm gear pair was introduced herein. With the core idea of 'error induced remodeling and self accurate offset', an intelligent iFMT instrument for mechanical transmission error detection was developed to realize the accurate detection of transmission errors. In order to realize the technology, a new worm gear mother machine embedded with iFMT instrument was developed, which may realize the integrated function of machining and measurement. Combined with cutting tools, new standards and supporting technologies, an ultra-precision worm gear pair with double side accuracies of DIN standard grade 1 was obtained finally. © 2022, China Mechanical Engineering Magazine Office.
