Abstract:

Multi-source data of public transport was used to extract the whole journey chain of passengers, and data envelopment analysis method was introduced to propose a quantitative evaluation method of bus line connection effectiveness based on multi-dimensional indicators. The set of external influencing factors was established from the built environment, traffic conditions, passenger flow conditions and other aspects. The influence model of bus line connection utility based on Tobit regression model was put forward, and the bus line in Tiantongyuan area of Beijing was selected as an example for empirical analysis. The results show that the proportion of congestion mileage of bus lines, the number of signalized intersections and the intensity of passenger flow along the line have a significant impact on the utility of connecting rail transit bus lines. © 2023 Wuhan University of Technology.
