As　a　new　virtual　shared　space　after　the　Internet,　the　metaverse　aims　to　explore　the　relationship　between　humans　and　a　new　virtual　space　using　a　combination　of　digital　technologies.　It　promotes　technological　innovation　and　economic　and　social　development　by　providing　a　new　space　for　interaction　between　humans　and　the　digital　world.　Industrial　metaverse　integrates　real-world　industrial　physical　scenes　with　virtual　digital　spaces　to　create　a　visual　overlay　environment　that　achieves　＇virtual　reality＇　collaboration　across　the　product　life　cycle,　driving　optimization　of　industrial　processes　and　improving　efficiency.　This　paper　proposes　the　basic　concepts,　technical　features,　and　system　architecture　of　industrial　metaverse　from　the　perspective　of　new　information　and　communication　technologies　(ICT),　Finally,　the　paper　identifies　the　challenges　that　industrial　metaverse　faces.　©　2023　IEEE.
