Abstract:

Tetrahedral mechanisms are mechanisms whose architectures constructed based on tetrahedron. Take the vertex as a ternary link, and the edge as a binary link respectively, the generalized mechanism is built. To describe the tetrahedral generalized mechanism, the topological graph is drawn and is expressed by configuration matrix. Possible types of tetrahedral mechanisms are listed using enumeration method. After setting axes of P and S pairs, the effective tetrahedral mechanisms results are obtained by G–K criterion. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
