Abstract:

We demonstrated an Yb-doped mode-locked fiber laser system delivering both dissipative-soliton-resonance (DSR) and noise-like pulse (NLP) simultaneously. The pulse widths of DSR and NLP were 7.1 ns and 4.3 ns, respectively. Meanwhile, the spectrum widths at 1056 nm of DSR and NLP were 0.5 nm and 21.5 nm, respectively. In this dual mode-locking state operation, the intracavity laser powers (DSR, NLP) increased 24% and 41% compared to that in single mode-locking states at the pump power of 600 mW, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time to trigger DSR and NLP simultaneously by sharing one pump in a fiber laser system.
