Abstract:
In the dynamic problems of the fluid-saturated porous media, depending the coupling between the solid and fluid phases, the permeability is the primary parameter for the wave propagation properties in saturated soil. In the case of finite, zero and infinite permeability, based on the u-w-p formulation, the wave equations of P1, P2 and S waves and their velocities are gotten, respectively. Furthermore, the potential function solutions of the three wave equations are constructed. And the actual velocities and attenuation coefficients are obtained based on the physical significance of the solutions. Finally, the relation of velocities and the attenuation characteristic and four parameters, such as permeability, frequency, porous and compressibility of the solid phase, are discussed in detail. © 2017, Science Press.
