Abstract:

Here, the laminated shear model box with adjustable spring and damping device independently developed was improved and the corresponding verification tests were performed. The overall improvement idea was that the shear deformation ability of laminated shear model box is improved by using plane linear needle roller row to replace ball; the box's dynamic boundary conditions are optimized by adding vertical springs in non-main vibration directions. The test and analysis results showed that compared with original conditions, the improved laminated shear model box can produce larger relative displacement to have a good effect of simulating large shear deformation; adding left and right vertical springs can increase the continuity of shear model box displacement and make it closer to the actual soil body deformation response. © 2021, Editorial Office of Journal of Vibration and Shock.
