Abstract:

It is difficult to detect defects in brazed layers on heteromorphic workpieces using traditional inspection methods. Thus, we developed a non-destructive testing technology based on heat conduction. We carried out scanning thermal resistance testing and analysis for flat and trapezoidal workpieces, and proposed a method for evaluating the brazing effect. This method can effectively evaluate the quality of the brazed layer of workpieces with complex, heteromorphic structures. Also, this method will allow the selection of workpieces with higher quality and reliability than is possible with traditional methods. © 2021 IEEE.
