Abstract:
In recent years, with the rapid development of wireless technology, researchers have proposed the use of wireless communication network technology to implement the vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET). Due to the openness and the particularity of the vehicle networking environment, security and efficiency have become the key issues in VANET. This paper analyzes the security deficiencies in the state-of-the-art scheme NECPPA and proposes a novel V2I communication scheme based on the certificateless aggregate signature. Our proposed method adopts the combination of RSU-based authentication and inserting TPD into RSU. Also, we use elliptic curve cryptography to construct an improved secure certificateless aggregation authentication scheme. Our proposed scheme can realize the function of conditional privacy protection and reduce computing and communication costs. Strict security analysis proves that our proposed scheme meets the security requirements of VANETs and can resist common security attacks on the Internet of Vehicles. Besides, experimental performance analysis shows that compared with the NECPPA scheme, our proposed scheme can greatly reduce the computational overhead and communication overhead. © 2020 ACM.
