Abstract:
Proper design of sidewall is one way to improve the driving environment of tunnels. Based on the cooperative-vehicle infrastructure system, a new dynamic landscape design pattern for tunnel sidewall is proposed. From the perspective of driving behavior, the driving simulator is used to build tunnel scenarios, and obtain driving behavior data. The paired sample T-test analysis method is carried out. The results show that in the sidewall dynamic landscape influence zone, the driver has a strong desire to slow down, the v(enter) is significantly reduced, the proportion(v), and the average deceleration are significantly increased; the lateral position of the vehicle is more inclined to the sidewall, and the sidewall effect is improved; the pupil area is significantly reduced, and the driver's anxiety, and uneasiness caused by the tunnel semi-closed environment are relieved. © 2020 ASCE.
