Abstract:

The industrialized innovative buildings are promoted vigorously in China, and a main approach of industrialization is to innovate and develop prefabricated buildings. Prefabricated lightweight steel composite structure has the advantages of better mechanical property, better seismic behavior, better energy-saving and environment-friendly properties. The prefabricated lightweight steel composite structure is mainly used in low-rise and multi-story buildings, which adapts to the development of innovative building industrialization. The research progress, system configuration and seismic behavior of several typical prefabricated lightweight steel composite structures are summarized. The cold-formed steel framing structure, lightweight steel and lightweight concrete structure, prefabricated floor-by-floor assembled steel braced structure, and the prefabricated lightweight steel frame-composite wall structure are introduced. The technical characteristics, standards, construction technology, and engineering practice of those structures are analyzed. The problems and development of prefabricated lightweight steel composite structures are presented, and the future development direction of prefabricated lightweight steel composite structure is studied and prospected. © 2021, Progress in Steel Buiding Structures.
