Abstract:

Polarization control of VCSEL via built-in gratings is demonstrated. Compared with the devices without gratings, the VCSEL with built-in gratings exhibits a higher orthogonal polarization suppression ratio (>18 dB) up to thermal rollover.  © 2021 OSA.
