Abstract:
This paper uses global trade data on lithium battery separators from 2017 to 2021 to conduct research using temporal exponential random graph models (TERGM) to overcome the limitations of traditional static network analysis. The study focuses on dynamic evolution and driving effects. The results indicate that after 2018, the lithium battery separator trade relationship between China and the United States exhibited a "cooperation-decoupling-cooperation"community evolution trend. Sino-US trade frictions had a stronger impact on the United States' position in the trade network than in China. The lithium battery separator trade network density was low and stable with significant growth potential. Most countries had stronger export capabilities than imports, and there were "rich club"effects and trade protectionism tendencies. The key elements of battery separator trade were less affected by geographical distance. Sino-US trade frictions deepened grade effects, but the matching coefficient of countries with high GDP decreased. The blockade in the stage of trade friction was somewhat eased after 2020, and trade monopoly and protectionism weakened. This article provides insight into promoting the trade layout of lithium battery "stuck neck"technology products, facilitating the upgrading of lithium-ion power batteries, promoting the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry, eliminating trade frictions, and promoting China's dominant position in the international trade network. © 2023 ACM.
