Abstract:

This paper proposes a One-Wire (OWI) digital communication interface with asynchronous First in First out (FIFO) buffering function based on Advanced High-performance Bus (AHB-Lite), which adopts half-duplex mode to realize networking communication between host and multiple slaves. Based on this design, the interface can be specifically configured by the AHB-Lite bus for data, with reading interface status information, and supports parity and glitch filtering filter functions. In order to realize the stability of single-wire communication with external OWI devices in the data transceiver module, the asynchronous FIFO buffer function is added. During the data transmission process, FIFO can buffer single-threaded data. The finite state machine method is used to control the transmission timing of the OWI interface, and Register Transfer Level (RTL) simulation is carried out, which shows that the design can reduce the use of hardware resources and has good practicability. © 2023 IEEE.
