Abstract:
A new-type pre-stressed spatial structure, named Annular Crossed Cable-truss Structure, is proposed to overcome the shortages of the in-used Annular Open-web Cable-truss Structure for lack of disproportionate collapse resistance. The formulas of node coordinates of the Annular Crossed Cable-truss Structure in the prestressed state are derived in Cylindrical Coordinate System. It is found that the node coordinates are determined by five geometric parameters, the number of nodes in outside ring I, the number of ring segments spanned over by cable-truss in plane C, the distance between central point O and node in outside ring 1 (J1∼j), the rise height HT and the sag height HB. The proposal of Annular Crossed Cable-truss Structure provides a new disproportionate collapse resistance design method for pre-stressed spatial structures and the derivation of the geometry parameters lays a foundation for further study on performance of the Annular Crossed Cable-truss Structure. © 2014 by Ren-Jie Liu, Su-Duo Xue, Guo-Jun Sun, Xiong-Yan Li.
