Abstract:

[Purpose/significance] Technology gatekeepers play a key role in influencing the dissemination of new technology information, and effective identification of gatekeepers is conducive to better support technology innovation subjects in the field. [Method/process] Based on the definition of technology gatekeeper and combined with the theory of science-technology interaction, this paper selected the field of blockchain technology as the research object, constructed the scholar cooperation network and citation network, and screened the gatekeepers that promoted the flow of knowledge on the basis of the original technology gatekeeper identification method. [Result/conclusion] The experimental results show that the gatekeepers selected by this method have a controlling and promoting effect in the process of knowledge flow. Compared with the traditional gatekeepers, the gatekeepers identified by this method have a more prominent contribution and promoting effect on the development of the field, and have more influence on the development of the professional field. © 2024 Information studies: Theory and Application.
