Abstract:
The definition of the totally-recycled concrete is that both coarse and fine aggregates of the concrete are made of the building wastes. Because of the different mechanical property between new and totally-recycled concrete, it is necessary to study the seismic performance of totally-recycled concrete structure. The shaking table test on a 1/4 scaled 8-story reinforced totally-recycled concrete (RTRC) frame was conducted in the State Key Laboratory of Disaster Reduction in Civil Engineering at Tongji University to study the seismic performance of the structure. This paper puts emphasis on shaking table test of the RTRC frame. Meanwhile, elasto-plastic time history analysis and fragility analysis using CANNY were made to simulate and evaluate the behaviors of the RTRC frame. Both the experimental and analytical results show that through reasonable design, the seismic performance of the RTRC frame can basically meet the requirement of the seismic design at intensity 8.
