Abstract:
This study examines the influence of green training and development propelled by artificial intelligence (AI) on the environmental behavior of employees in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan. The research investigates the impact of three dimensions of AI-powered training - personalized learning, gamification and simulation, and knowledge assessment and feedback - on employee environmental knowledge and subsequent green behavior, as grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The results indicate that all three dimensions substantially improve employee environmental awareness, which in turn encourages environmentally conscious behavior. This study adds to the expanding body of literature on the role of AI in fostering sustainability within organizations and provides practical implications for the integration of AI into green training initiatives, particularly in the context of developing economies.
