Abstract:

In recent years, the rapid development of the economy and the rapid increase in the number of social cars have had a direct impact on the efficiency of the road network, resulting in varying degrees of regional traffic congestion, particularly during the morning and evening rush hours. The real-time data of the network is employed to identify the congestion points at the intersection, analyse the causes of congestion, and select the intersection of Baodi Ring Road and Tangtong Line as a case study to alleviate congestion and optimise the objective of improving road capacity. The accurate quantification of real-time traffic condition data, the reduction of research costs, the formation of a system for the transformation and optimisation of intersections, and the provision of a reference for the optimisation of domestic ordinary trunk highway intersections are all benefits of this approach. © 2024 SPIE.
