Abstract:
This paper presents a sinusoidal voltage and current generation integrated circuit suitable for bioimpedance measurement. The circuit mainly consists of a voltage-controlled oscillator, a waveform conversion module, and a current driver. This circuit is designed to generate a sinusoidal current signal with three adjustable frequencies, 300 Hz, 1 KHz, and 3 KHz, suitable for bioimpedance measurement. The sinusoidal current generation chip is implemented in SMIC 0.18-μm CMOS process, with a core area of 0.062mm2. Measurement results validate the function of the chip. The output voltage and current amplitude are 140 mV and 50 nA, respectively. The circuit's power consumption is 281 μW, under the power supply voltage of 1.8V. The output frequency error is within 3.3%. © 2024 IEEE.
